You can use the strip, but I would go get a $5 digital thermometer from target for verification. I have been practicing with quick fix and the strip is usually 2-3 degrees off from the actual temperature, it will read 92 degrees when the temperature on the digital will read 95. Well thats not good news, I hope You have a bad temp strip but after You pour QF into the cup You should go by the temp strip on the cup. It's easy too swirl and blow to cool QF and I have quietly rubbed My finger on My pants and lightly pressed it on the temp strip when I felt it read a little cool. To warm is better than to cool.
