My third grow, just a few question's ...

Hey, This is my third grow and I have a few questions.

First off, my first 2 grows I started with 4 plants and only got 1 female both times, my question's are:

1.What can I do to up the chance of getting female's ?
2.What is a good soil mix to use, like what type of soil ?
3.My grow room is 45''L - 33''W - 53''H, I have four 4' florescent tubes hanging right above and I have the same on the wall's, a total of 12 4' tubes and im going to add a few CFL's when my plants get about 12'' in height....Question is, will this be enough light ?

1. Nothing. It's all genetics, and you can't change that.
2. An expensive potting soil that doesn't have fertilizer already in it, mixed with about 20% perlite.
3. Sounds fine. Be sure and read up on lighting, about proper wavelengths for different stages of growth, and other stuff. Of course the more light the better, within reason. You can have just a few proper lights do the same thing as many bigger improper ones.

The reason I asked about how I can up the chances of getting a female is because a while back I read something about if you keep your grow room cooler it will help prduce a female, cause it causes less stress and some other things.

I second that. Gotta love morons who think they know everything just because some moron somewhere else told them something moronic...and they believed them.
