Stem crushing.

Hi all,
A friend showed me that if you gently crush the taller stems,say 6" from the top,just so they slightly bend over,they slow down and let the rest of the plant catch up.Is this safe to do? As I done it last time and got some hermies for my trouble.(but this could of been due to light leaks,which are now fixed)Im also growing a different strain this time.Peace,RM.

ive used that method on a few plants before. never any complications. once on 5 plants at once. under growth sprouted up fast

if you pinch the main growing tip a little bit, it stops growing and encourages side branching. what you did is the same idea. i've tried both with no problems.

Nice one boys/gals.I thought it`d be ok,just wanted a bit of feed back.So them herms must of been off the light leak or bad genetics? Mango from kc brains(No im not slating them!)the weed was pukka! thanks anyway.
