Weird, I thought I remembered Zondor saying fem seeds actually do work...

Thanks for the seed suggestions.

Glad I can help. If your not doing sog, you could have one 1000W. In that case make sure you get a digital ballast so that you can do both MH and HPS with a conversion bulb. I would probably want a 6" fan for the cool tube, and one or two more for circulation.
And about feminized seeds, and doing things to feminize: I have not seen any scientific proof that feminization methods work. It is a controversial and touchy subject. Many experienced growers have said that they have tried feminized seeds and other feminizing methods, and they don't see any difference. On the other hand, some people swear it works. I'm with the group that believes gender is determined by genetics, and you can't change that unless you have decoded the MJ plant genome and know how to manipulate the dna of the plant at a submicroscopic level. Let me know how that works out for you.

I'm not sure what I'm doing in terms of how many plants to be honest. So there are single bulbs that are both mh and hps? And on the ballast I just switch it?

Oh I see, I need a HPS BULB, and a conversion MH bulb?

I said it backward, sorry. A digital ballast will be HPS, and you can run MH with it also, but you'll need a MH conversion bulb.
If you go with 1000w, I would think a 6" fan and duct run would do best, but you may be able to get by with a 4" high output. I'm thinking 4" would be fine for a 600W. You also will need a small oscillating fan to make the plants gently rustle in the wind. This makes them strong so they can hold the weight of all those heavy buds to be. You also need some way to exchange air in the grow space, unless you are doing that at the same time with the enclosed hood. Some people run the warm air of the grow space through their cool tube or enclosed hood. I tried to make this work, but had horrible results.
Also you will have much better air flow if you use actuall ducting material and not the coiled dryer duct. Changing over totally solved the heat issue in my veg section.

And you can't do that if you plan on using CO2.
