wow. I really wished I had waited to take pictures. These plants pretty much exploded in growth overnight. I don't know what the hell happened but I'm happy about it. :jointsmile:

So another update. All the plants died except for the one I transplanted when I found out the soil was nuted, not died but they're pretty much screwed/stressed/doing poorly. Guess I should've transplanted them all but I was going on rhizome's advice. No way he could've known either. The plant that was transplanted into promix soil is thriving and looks beautiful. All the other plants are pretty much goners.

I've started germinating 9 more seeds. I will be planting them in rapid rooters and then sticking them in promix.

The good plant will probably veg an extra 3 weeks until these plants catch up and are ready for HPS.

Also this plant looks like it's showing some sex thingies? I'll see if I can get some pics.

Scratching my head, You sure did encounter a lot of problems with this start of grow, Im going to be honest about a few things. Soil with nutrients is not a bad thing, even for seedlings, I have all kinds of nutrients in my soil, That's what the plants need to grow healthy. Another thing that Super Thrive is no good, I hear people using that stuff and it's just the worse stuff you could use for cannabis and esp. seedlings. The nutrients in the soil is good enough to grow a healthy seedling. Another thing That perlite is not needed in a seedling tray or those small pots you have. You gotta have a good mix of soil in there for them to grow healthy roots and perlite does not have anything in it. Just a waste of space honestly. When you transplant and want to use a mix of that then sure it's ok.

The problem with the nutrients is not that it's there but rather that it burns the plant because there is too much in the soil for such a young plant. The only difference between my plant that is thriving and beautiful and the plants that are not doing so hot is the fact that the good plant was put into really good soil and the other plants stayed in composted soil which is burning them up. I've tried flushing and letting them dry out with no resolve.

I didn't use the super thrive since no one chimed in.

I never said I used perlite in the seedling tray. I used rapid rooters in the seedling trays.

All the plants received the same watering schedule. Were used in the same soil, used rapid rooters.

There's only one variable. I transplanted my good plant into promix soil early on. In either case I don't feel this was a waste as I did learn alot.

Thanks for the reply, I've been looking to get input for a while now whether it be good or bad. I'll post comparison pictures of my good plant vs the average plant in the other soil.

Well your learning so that's good, I just hope you have some better luck. Do what you think is best for your next batch of seeds. And if you want to keep them out of nutrients than thats fine.
