changing watts into amps
1000 watts = 10 amps roughly.
Most residential wiring is suited for a total of 15 amps, however you should calculate only an 80% load for safety reasons.
If you are using something like an oven or dryer outlet, they handle typically 20amps, sometimes 30amps.ninfan77 Reviewed by ninfan77 on . changing watts into amps I know someone posted this with a formula cant seem to find it. I would like to figure how many amps I am pulling on a circut, i know it was adding up all watts and either mult. or divideing by something. Thanks:) Rating: 5
