if you put a 70watt hps into a space 1ftx1ft and a pot(maybe two) with any cannabis strain in, yes it will grow!
newgroweroldsmoker Reviewed by newgroweroldsmoker on . For Those interested in Lowryder Hello, I had our old thread deleted so that everyone's email accounts were not just out in the open. We can all use this thread to keep one another updated on the LR grows. I have had eight members email me back with addy's to ship to. I have five of them packed and ready to go. For the others who have not emailed me back yet...please do so ASAP. I want to get everything ready and out so that we can get this show started. Rating: 5

LR's are pretty tough....I left the door open and the freakin cat got in and ate off one plants starter leaf leaving but one and bit into another one kinking it over. I just put the light behind it and it has turned back up and looks like it well be fine.
Student?? If I have a g13 x Hashplant x LR and it being female using the pollen from another straight LR would that make my chances for autoflower better ?
I have a 400w HPS coming via UPS on Thursday and these babies should take off. I can't believe how fast these seedlings are growing both my LR's and crosses under a make shift combo of ultra cheap toss together lighting.http://www.highbred.net/forums/index.php?referid=15

Hello,
King - Seeds do not grow out on the male plant. The male produces the pollen that then impregnates the females pistils (pistils are the hairs), then from there the female plant produces the seeds. So pollenating the female with the male is vital. Here is a link to some info on pollination techniques.
robert42 - I think that a 70 watt hps could grow out 2 nice LR's at a time. With the addition of a couple fluoro's you would be able to grow a couple more at a time.
MrLzyBones - Sorry to hear about the cat going a little crazy. My cat has taken a bite or two out of plants before. Cats no what they want...lol.
If I were you I would take a male and a female autoflowering g13 x hp x lr and cross them. If you only get one or the other then yes I would backcross to a pure lr.
This is the plan of action that I would take (assuming I got a male and female g13 cross.
- Breed the autoflowering male and female together.
- Grow out resulting seed, pick from crop and breed the two best autoflowering plants
- Grow out resulting seed, pick from crop and breed the two best autoflowering plants
- Grow out resulting seed, pick from crop and breed the two best autoflowering plants
- Grow out resulting seed, pick from crop the best female and breed with an apropriate pure LR male. (This is your backcross, this helps to finalize the autoflowering gene).
- Grow out resulting seed, pick from crop and breed the best two autoflowering plants
- Etc., until you end up with 100% autoflowering plants.
At this point you could continue to refine your strain by picking out certain plants for breeding for more specialized traits such as flavor, aroma, etc.
Here is a link to OG's faqs on different breeding strategies.
Kick ass on the 400 watter! You will love the production these babies can put out.
Take care everyone.
Peace

Howdy Student,
I'm curious, what's the high like from LowRyders ? Is it very potent-or are ya just using it for it's auto-flowering trait ?
Have a good one...Torog

Hello,
Torog - I would still clasify the Lowryder high as a quality couchlock type of high. Just on the lower end of quality. It is certainly better than mid-grade, just not as good as some other quality strains.
robert42 - No prob. I am confident that just the HPS will do you well. LR's grow out to be pretty bushy, and mine were around 14-16" tall when done.
Take care everyone.
Peace
