Activate Carbon (Charcoal) is safer since you can create too much ozone for both plants and humans as well...

You'll want to overbuild this and be prepared to spend $$$ on proper ventilation - inline fax (6" Vortex 449 CFM 10 yr warranty is what I use) - it will be worth every penny, believe me.

A hole is drilled 2 inches above the bottom, into the side, with a hole a little less than in inch. The bottom two inches always have water, and you water once every 1-2 days.
