Ph is rising, can't seem to stabilize

I diluted the reservoir to 410 ppms and lowered the ph to 5.5. I am pretty sure I can see new growth forming on the top and sides of the plants so that has to be a good sign. I also peeked at the roots and they are now out the bottom of the net baskets by maybe a quarter of an inch
When I first planted them in the net baskets I placed a layer of hydroton on the bottom, then the rockwool cubes; so the roots have grown over an inch downwards in the past day or so. Another good sign
