Re-pot when the plant has more than one foot of main stem per available gallon of root space.
A quart pot can support a short, bushy plant up to about 10".
A gallon, that can hold a reasonably bushy foot tall plant or a 10" plant that has been trained a bit more.
I flower in a 3 gallon pot and the plants finish at approximately 18-22" and 3-4 main leaders.

Yeah i wanted to grow on a 3gal pot but people say its too small for the roots.
street312punk Reviewed by street312punk on . Pot What pot size should i use? I have my plants currently on a 1 gal pot but ima change them in to a bigger one wheni start flowering. Should i go for the 3 gal or 4 gal? The plants that i will grow are small and the largest ill ever grow are medium plants. Rating: 5
