Sup out there?
Hi,
My name is David Gann (dont mind using my real name here) and I am a bialateral amputee both above knee, and I am in a ton of pain. My friend from Longview Texas gave me a few joints of his medical marijuana they gave him for his glucoma (sp) so I tried it. Having been a long time pot smoker, but had quit for some years, because I was pretty much out of circulation after loosing my legs I found that by smoking one joint per night that the pain was eliminated entirely. So, I found a guy I could buy some pot from and started as one of his regular customers. One of the bags I bought had a fair amount of seeds in it, about 60 of them. I germinated then planted 50 of the little devils. There are now only two left, the other 48 I think surcumed to my own stupidity, that is using the wrong type of light on them. All of the 48 just sprang up and keeled over. I was using those nifty new curly cue looking neon style lights that plug in to regular sockets. The two that lived I have on a single Sylvania Gro-Lux type lamp. They seem to be doing well but I dont know that for sure. I have read a lot about growing pot but the one thing about it all that stymies me a bit is the light thing. I have read where you leave them on all the time while they are in a vegitative state and only cut them back when you want the plant to start getting buds. But I also read where you should allow your plants to rest at least 4 hours per night. So, my question to you all is WHICH IS BEST? ON OR OFF? This is the only thing that is bugging me about them. I have been turning them off for 4 hours per night, or rather during the day with all the light blocked from getting to them so as not to have to wake up at night to plug the lamp back in. So, at 8 in the morning the lights went off and then at 12 noon I turned them back on. I have just read so many pros and cons on the subject it is hard to determine who is right or wrong about the light thing. My plants are about 2 weeks old now and they are 6 inches high. There are two oval shaped leaves, then two pointed leaves then two leaves with three points each then the fourth pair are a bit longer and look like they are trying to develope a second set on these also. They look healthy nice and green, have nice thick stems so I must be doing something right. I need to get some other light system I know for sure because I have also been reading about them and from what I have found, 400 watt would be much better or just plain neon lights would be best. Obviously, I can not afford either being on disability so I need to see how far these things get with what I have at hand.
Thanks! From Abilene, TexasOPPS! Almost forgot. My email address is [email protected] for those interested parties. Thanks Again!
