You should invest in a microscope to look at your Trichs. I got a really good model at the radio shack for ten bucks.

not all ready-to-be-harvested-buds will look the same as yours. Going by someones pictures will lead to you still harvesting early or late, only you will be thinking you have it down right.

I have a big hunch I've been harvesting too early in my past two grows which would explain the inconsistent high and flavour.
