    Big request

I've been Googling for bud pics ready for harvest and was only able to come up with generic bud pics. I have a big hunch I've been harvesting too early in my past two grows which would explain the inconsistent high and flavour.

Seeing what "ready for harvest buds" are supposed to look like would be tremenduously helpful! Thx!

You should invest in a microscope to look at your Trichs. I got a really good model at the radio shack for ten bucks.

not all ready-to-be-harvested-buds will look the same as yours. Going by someones pictures will lead to you still harvesting early or late, only you will be thinking you have it down right.

According to KC brains, the buds should look something like this. I've harvsted buds when the pistils begin turning brown but there were still plenty of white ones left on the buds, I think it was too early.

Good tip about the microscope, I got one on discount but thus far, getting a good look at the trichomes has been a bit frustrating: my hand isn't that steady, as soon as I get a good look the leaft slides out of place, grr!

I should hold onto the tip of the leaf so it doesn't move I guess, but I'm afraid I'll damage the trichomes if I do that!

Take a sample from one of your bud leaves. try to snip it with sisiors, because if you pull it, you'll just tear the leaf, and not even get a sample.

Good tip, I'll try that! Thanks! The microscope has a 60x to 100X magnifying factor, I think it'll do!
