Regaining "extended" short-term memory loss
You are indeed right. THC is out of the blood 2 - 4 hours after smoking, and the cannabinoids are stored in the fat cells. Or the inactive THC if you like. Releasing them wont get you high, coz none of it is active.

Regaining "extended" short-term memory loss
It's been two weeks now since I've touched it last, I swear things are starting to become much more clearer for me. I haven't had forgetful feelings of frustration for about a week now. There have been a few instances where I've felted "dazed" for a bit, usually when I'm experiencing some natural high, speeding, loud music, chocolate, sex etc.
I still seem to have to make multiple trips back inside my house whenever I want to leave, I always forget crucial things I need to take with me(things that in my own conscience, I can't possibly believe I would be that careless about). I am not that careless!!! And this single handedly had to have been the most frustrating thing that broke the camels back for me.
The last few days I've been less careless about my things, and I'm looking forward to a complete freedom over this hold that's been placed on me.

I don't think so, literally forgetting things I never had any trouble with before whatsoever isn't just in my head.
When I took my first toke last thanksgiving(2006), I spent most of that year high.
I had the mindset of pot being totally harmless, that could be endlessly indulged upon. Then I started experiencing the symptoms I described and started to do some sleuthing.

You cannot blame it ALL on the weed. That'd be a STUPID thing to do.

It's YOU as well.
A good deal of it IS in your head.
Dont blame ALL your troubles on weed - thats as bad as people saying weed made them lazy - fat idiots make themselves lazy, they just use weed as an excuse.

Weed affects different people in different ways, if you feel that it's stopping your memory function then you are probably right to give it a rest.
Personally I'm lucky I guess, I don't suffer from this. Somtimes I forget for a second what i'm in the middle of ~ but ONLY when I'm high and only for the first hour or so.
I have been an everyday smoker now for over 10 years with odd breaks here and there for holidays etc

Maybe, group therapy could help you.

I suffer from a horrible memory loss to begin with so I don't really feel the need to clean my system, often times forget what im doin in a matter of seconds, like a minute ago i went to use the search thing at the top of the page and forgot what i wanted to search for, lol. Guess it's just part of who I am though and don't really bug me to much s I just move on to something else, lol

This is the total shit, I haven't misplaced anything or felt "lost" in any of activities lately.
I've been doing calculus problems, and I'm finding that I'm understanding the concepts 10x faster. No more frustration!
On a side note, I'm getting an Ounce of Jack Frost for Christmas and taking it to Vegas! I'll let you all know if this Sativa Strain causes memory problems.

I have been smoking weed now,for about 5 months.I've smoked 3 times a day and it hasn't affected my mental abilities a tad bit.One thing I do notice how ever, whenever I smoke low quality ganja,a sense of foggyness comes over me for a day.Stop blaming the marijuana.Make sure you get GOOD QUALITY BUD.I started smoking because of my Crohns disease and I can honestly say its one of the most outstanding medications, not only for the body but for the mind too!
