the thing no one ever seems to take into consideration when this question pops up is relighting a bowl....

if you cap it your wasting weed too... test for yourself... load up a bowl, and hit it, but do NOT let it go out... count how many hits you get out of it.... then, to your best ability, pack the same exact bowl in the same manner (if the first was just broken peices of bud, do the same for the second) and cap it after each hit, meaning you have ot relight it again every hit.... count how many hits you get... you WILL get less than the first... i can promise that... so there you go... even a bowl and capping it, wastes...

if you can hit a bong and not cough out the smoke after clearing it, you're not really gonna waste much more then a joint or bowl/cap... and vice versa...

so, choose your medium and just stick with it... the ammount wasted is minimal, but all methods will waste.. there is no completely 100% effecient method...

as for blunts.... well that one is a toss up for me... a blunt does take more weed... but that doesn't mean more waste.... the wrap is alot more thick and slower burning then a paper... i can and have on multiple occasions had a 2 gram blunt last a half hour... infact just a few days ago was the last time... if i'd of rolled all that bud into zigzags it would have been gone before that blunt was...

(btw this seems to cause arguments, the whole 30 min blunt thing... always someone claiming it's impossible... but if it's rolled right you can... the key is getting it to not keep a full burn when it's not being hit... you'll know you acheived this if the blunt will go out by itsself after a minute or so of not being blown on or hit...)
