    is it disaster??

well i've had a mishap with my first indoor cabinet scrog
the timer for the ventilation and the timer for the light got messed up a bit...stoopid mistake heres the story
so my baby is on it 3rd goin on 4th week of 12/12
i decided to try to take a decent pic with my phone camera and the 250w hps blinded it, so i figured id unplug it, take the pic, and plug it back it.
i proceeded to do so and thought nothing of it till the next day
i went into the spare room where my cabinet was and i heard the humm of the ballast!
the light had been on for 5 hrs past when it was supposed to shut off and the ventilation fans had shut off due do the timer.
the temp spiked up to 108 by the time i noticed.
i put the lighting timer back on its regular time cycle and every thing is ok so far.
    the question is
will that 5 hrs of extra light and 5 hrs of less dark muck up my plant? go hermie? reduce yields?
what i've learned from this is to pay attention to your timers if your using the same dial type im using!
the next grow toy ill get will be a good digital timer

i dont know what it will do to the plant alot depends on strain
but i think its a good idea to keep ventilation goin 24/7
and to shut of the light, the timer should have a on/off switch so you wouldnt have to unplug

    hope everything turns out ok:jointsmile:

I am new to this, but could you give it 24 or 36 hours of darkness to make up for the extra light, kinda like sleep debt? Good luck, let us know what happens!

I update my previous position. Don't be a paranoid parent! Your girls will be fine... after all it was only a few hours...

Plants grown outdoors often experience temps spikes like that in the southeast US where I live... Nature is far more brutal on plants than most good growers are even when making small mistakes such as yours..

Shore, they didn't enjoi that little heat wave (if they are indicas), but slightly higher temps often encourage growth... too a point.. If above 100, an Indica plant will generally stop growth altogether...

They will be absolutely fine... just give them some water and maybe some extra darkness...
A light stress would have been far worse of an event.

    Peace!
