Sacra Fresca flowering Problems
I have a friend growing a single feminized sacra frasca plant under 48" lights. (its growing amazing, no light issue here)
its been under a non-constant 12/12 cycle for over a week and a half that varies from 10-14 hours b/c he has no timer.
besides the danger of a hermi from that, are the light swings a cause, or a nuisance?klondike_bar Reviewed by klondike_bar on . Yes, fluctuations in the light cycle will obviously give you herms, but on top of that, it will cause it to flower slowly, or perhaps never flower to its full potential. You need to tell your friend that a 10 dollar timer will save him loads of aggravation.

Well if he knows anything about electricity, he could easily swap that switch out for a receptacle and just put a plug on the end of the wire leading to his equipment. Plug timer into new receptacle and cord into timer. Simple as that. Just make sure to use a timer rated for the load he is using (very important) and to use a GFI outlet. Not a necessity, but it can never hurt in an area that water is being used in.

yeah. its one of those built-into-the -ceiling fixture tho, with the switch 10 feet away.
thats why i figured one of the switches that also has a timer built in so it will not require any heavy wiring, just a swap of the switch
