I don't have an alarm clock. I wake up at 5am precisely every day, light out or not. It's weird. If I have to go to the airport or something super early, I'll set the cell phone AND have someone call me to get my ass out of bed. A car pulling into my driveway will have me wide awake at the window, but I can sleep through an alarm.

I've done this since college, and it's a good thing because I really hate the sound of alarm clocks going off, buzzing obnoxiously and waking peacefully sleeping people out of sound slumber.
I've never been an easy, heavy sleeper. I wake up easily for other reasons, too, not just for morning wake-up times.

There is an alarm clock in the livingroom and on all of our wrist watches but we never use them.
I am with all of you..I have never needed an alarm clock...I have always woke up around 5:30 am for as long as I can remember..even if I go to bed at 2 am, I still get up at that time..
