How do I distinguish the males from females
I have seeds and wish to grow a plant. How do I tell which plants are male or female? and should i plant them all in the same pot and just remove all but one?

dont get grow bags they are too difficult to deal with
you can tell sex at about 6 weeks but it all depends on the plant and how much care its been given and such. go to some of the grow guides on here and read it all and after youve done that go back and read it 3 more times. if u wanna grow you gotta work at it. :rastasmoke:

Try at least 4 pots. The odds of all 4 being male are rather small. At first, plants put out paired leaves. Later, they alternate sides of the stem. This is the earliest that most plants will sex out. Males tend to show first. They have what look like ball shaped flower buds. Females "give you the high sign"- two little clearish white pistils at the place where the leaf and the stem connect. There are LOTS of photos- go look! Don't use Miracle Grow soil- get something a bit better quality. Those curly bulbs will work- regular light bulbs will NOT work. More light is better. Believe what Stinky Attic says, she knows her stuff! Start reading the grow column of your choice (read the stickies first!) and then hit the "infirmary"! You can see what can go wrong and learn from other's mistakes.- Granny:hippy:
