The heat from the burning joint gets drawn along with the smoke down through the joint as you smoke it, basically "activating the THC" (like when you make pot brownies,) so, in theory, you could get (a little) high(er) off of eating roaches.

People used to eat the roach for a decent reason, and now people do it to seem cool, or they think that it has some effect or something. But no, people used to eat the roach so they couldnt get caught with it. It doesnt do shit.

That's actually a myth that the THC is activated by heat. Brownies and firecrackers actually work because THC is fat soluble and cooks into the fat of whatever you are putting it into.

THC is activated by heat, it cooks into the fat also, but you can activate weed and smoke it for a more powerful effect

Well I don't know the specifics or anything so I'm not gonna argue, but I am pretty sure that is a myth. I'll look it up later and post back here.
edit: after looking for like 2 minutes I found that the THC usually is more soluble when heated, but you don't have to heat it to get high off of it.

Its true that its more soluble when heated, but im pretty sure you have to heat it to get high off of it. If you smoke, vaporize, or cook with it you're heating it.
