    Curing Jealousy

Jealousy is awful. I had to break up with two guys I dated before I met Dave because of their jealousy issues. It is really miserable to be around that--or to have someone constantly suspicious or fearful that you're going to talk to someone else or cheat on them. Later I learned it has a lot more to do with people's own insecurities, fears, and control issues than it does the person who's triggering those feelings. And it's a sure-fire relationship killer because it very quickly alienates those people the jealous person cares about.

Crudemood, I know because you've written about it here before that you had a fair degree of control and criticism and, although it might not have appeared this way overtly, insecurity modeled for you by your dad. You were learning that sort of behavior before you were probably even aware of it and have now simply incorporated it into your own adult life and relationships. You can break the cycle, but it takes work and therapy. It might be well worth working on if you are finding that you drive away the folks you care about most.

    Curing Jealousy

I'm very very jealous, I fight it every day and try not to let it show.

If there is a cure, I need it.
