Hahaha I just remembered that shit.. Everyone thought the world was gonna die.. I wasnt on these forums back when it was a big world scare, so I dunno what your views on it were.. But man, talk about paranoid mofos.. Its funny how everyone in the drug war talks about how weed makes everyone paranoid, then they go get fucking scared shitless about some bullshit that didn't come to anything much...
It kinda makes you lose faith in other world issues like global warming and everything. I mean, personally I do believe that humans have created a huge mess of earth, and that global warming is real.. But I highly doubt that it will happen to the predictions of heaps of scientists, you know? Like how world water levels will rise and in 50 years big ass cities will be underwater. Its over-exaggerating to the fucking daaaays, you feel me?

Bird Flu is still around, same goes for SARS. Just because they haven't received much coverage on the news doesn't mean they have disappeared. The viruses obviously haven't caused as much of a disaster as originally thought, but as long as they exist they still pose a worrying threat I guess.

To a certain degree yes, it was still a very important story though and deserved the coverage. Thousands upon thousands of birds dying, and the chance of humans contracting it is something I'd like to know about.

Yeah, OK, I see your point - I used the term 'idiots' a bit losely.

What I suppose I actually meant is that, whilst being an important issue, the story was over used by the media, thus, creating a pointless worldwide scare.

Yeah, fair enough. Like I said previously I do agree. Whilst it was on the news and important it was clear to see there was a mass scare due to such heavy coverage.

I believe there was a story on BBC News a couple of months ago in the UK, talking about the worry of another Bird Flu epidemic. Did you happen to see it?

Yeah true I guess I was kinda getting at that aswell.. I'm from New Zealand and for a while, it was pretty much front page news nearly every day for a few weeks.. They made it into this huge thing everyone talked about..
