The latest in a very long line of decisions by the British Prison Authorities is this:
Prisoners have now to be adressed by their first names, and the prison officers must now knock on the cell doors before entering.
This apparently will be more respectful to the prisoners and will improve the prisoners standard of life, as the governments inspector of prisons has stated that "prisons are not a nice enviroment to be in"
This is in the same week that our local prison (nicknamed the Hilton) has had a new library containing 44,000 books opened, whilst we collect tokens every time we shop at the supermarket to get books for our local school.
Here was me thinking prison was supposed to be a punishment.
