Potential test on Tuesday, please take a look . . .

I am on probation and have been getting tested at least once a week, usually more, for the past 8 months or so. Just recently, I graduated to the end phase of my "treatment," for which I only have to go to the counseling/testing location once a week.

I finally gave in after 6+ months of not smoking at all, and yesterday (Friday at about 2:30 pm) I smoked. I took 2 or 3 hits of dank from a pipe and got out-of-this-world blazed for a few hours.

Now of course, I am tripping balls. I have to go in to the place on Tuesday, and chances are I will have to test. If I blow a positive, I will be nice and fucked; back into 3 days a week counseling and not to be done for at least 3-6 months more, instead of the only 6 weeks or so 'til I'm done with this bs that I look forward to now. So yeah, at this point I know, I fucked up. It's not worth the risk to have even chanced it considering the relative cost if I fail, not to mention the stress on my mind.

But I want to get any feedback possible w/ regard to my chances for passing and/or anything I could possibly do to help piss clean.

Some quick info: I am 25 years old, about 150 lbs, 5' 7", active (I ride approximately 20-25 miles per day on a bicycle), I eat a lot but manage to maintain a reasonably consistent weight, I take vitamins; and again to recap, I took 2 or 3 good hits of dank on Friday afternoon (the first time I had smoked in over 6 months) and I am concerned about a test I will probably get on Tuesday afternoon, just over 96 hours after I smoked.

Please respond with any info, opinions, comments. I will appreciate it.

You may be OK. Only way to know is to test yourself with a home test kit. If not do the dillution sticky and hope for the best.
Be prepared in the future with some synthetic urine.

Thanks for the reply. I have a couple of home test kits (50 ng/ml cutoff, which I assume is the cutoff for my norchem preliminary screening test) but I haven't used one yet. Substituting is out of the question because I am visually monitored, usually.

So I think I'm going to be ok . . .

I took a home test that I picked up at a headshop (I know I paid too much for it but I got it impulsively). It was a test with a cutoff of 50 ng/ml. I took it at about 6:45 tonight (Sunday) after having smoked around 2:30 pm on Friday. So we're talking about 52 hours after smoking. I've never done one of these tests myself, so I was a bit nervous when the first line came in nice and dark and a second line didn't immediately show at all. It says to wait 5 minutes to read it though, and after 2 or 3 minutes a faint line showed up. By 5 minutes there was clearly a second line there, though it was not nearly as dark as the control line. Nonetheless, the instructions state very clearly, multiple times, that the width and darkness of the line have no meaning; a line of any intensity in the test portion of the stick indicates a negative. So I think I'm in pretty good shape as my test isn't until Tuesday. Please let me know if you think there is anything I am missing or if I have misinterpreted any of this, or if it sounds like I am fine. Of course like most people being forced to take tests, I have a lot riding on this.

Oh also, the company doing my testing is Norchem who appear to abide by SAMSHA guidelines and will therefore use a 50 ng/ml cutoff for the screen, right? Their site is down atm. Odd . . . I hope they're not updating their site to say they now test with a lower cutoff.:wtf:

You need to test Your first void of the morning.

I've never heard that anywhere before. The instructions that came with the test don't say anything about that the time of day that the sample must be collected to be accurate.

My understanding is that the first test of the day is most likely to be dirty as metabolites to be voided build up through the night as you sleep.

So, why do I need to do this? Are you saying to do it tomorrow morning? Morning of the test? When and why? Thanks for the reply, and any others would be much appreciated. Peace

Because that is the time when you will have the most thc content of the day is why some people recommend you take then. If you're clear first thing in the morning then you should be clear for the rest of the day. If you test positive then you're borderline and it would be more probable that you would fail the test in the afternoon.

Having said that its my experience that if I test positive first thing in the morning I usually test negative in the afternoon after a couple days of not smoking. So you will probably be fine just do the dillution sticky too just to be safe.

Well thats why You would test the first void of the day. If You pass the first void You know Your good,

Unless Your dirty then I would test later in the day after trying the dilution method in the sticky above.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I feel a helluva lot better. Now assuming I pass this one, which I'm pretty sure I will, am I gonna put myself through this stress every week or just wait 6 weeks or however long it is until I'm off probation to blaze again?

About dilution though. If I give urine that qualifies as "diluted" in the labs eyes, it is almost as bad as being positive. It raises a lot of eyebrows. It happened to me months ago when I didn't even use and I got shit for it. So I need to strike a fine balance between drinking enough fluid to dilute a little, but not so much that I raise a red flag. Vitamins, a dash of creatine, and Gatorade instead of water in the last hours before testing, and of course don't over do the fluids, and I think I'll be ok. If any of that sounds wrong or anybody has any final suggestions, please reply.

Sounds like you got the basics down. I wouldn't toke anymore till you're off probation. Its not that much longer.
