Why time seems to slow down when high
Oh shit the first poster deserves an applause, really great way of putting it. While we're on the topic, me and a friend were blazed and were making hot pockets.. so I'm just sitting there swaying back and forth, playing air guitar and listening to music (there was none playing, but I was just so blitzed I could hear it, you dig?) and we were waiting for the microwave to get done.. and my friend, John, gets my attention and points to the timer. It says 3:50, and we both gasp. Then we look away, wait, what seems like 30 seconds, look back and it says 3:48; we gasp again. Time felt like it hit a dead stop, or atleast a slow groove, if you know what I mean. It was pretty funny, we were laughing our asses off and cursing the thing.
Oh yeah, and before you ask, those were the best hot pockets we ever had.
Peace :jointsmile:further Reviewed by further on . Why time seems to slow down when high I think I've figured out why time slows down when your high. It's simply because when your high, and more importantly when you're enjoying the high, you are truly in the moment. There is no future, past, but rather a pool of consciousness that is just there and that is the present. When you're high, or when you are in a constant state of "superconsciousness" I.E. advanced practitioners of meditation and yoga, you become aware of the present moment and realize that is all there is.
