The ballast is built into the bulb. It's fluorescent light, with standard tub styles the ballast is usually in the fixture. The CFL has the ballast simply wired right into the bulb. making it "Compact".

I wanted to look it up on the internet to see about how much they would cost me. and maybe goto homedepot and buy one. but I don't know what kind of light they call it. I had onefor 3 years. it worked great but then after 3 years of useing it. it burnt out on me. and now I wanted to get a new one. cuz I could save more room in my flowering cab. thanks for UR help.
