What's on top of your Christmas tree?
For a long time during the years we had a smaller tree, it was a white-feathered angel that someone gave us when our baby was born. Then the angel got roughed up by a house-cat and we used a Mexican aluminum star from my mom. This year we'll have the big Christmas-tree (evergreen) shaped tree in our foyer, and if we want anything at its tip, we'll either have to have it put on and hope for the best before the tree is erected, or we'll have to do without because we need scaffolding or a cherry-picker to get to the top of that tree. In our family room where we have the presents, we just decorate our biggest ficus tree with lights and ornaments because the smaller evergreen tree in there is too much of a temptation for cats to climb up under. Holiday decorations in this house tend to be at the discretion of my animals!
Your little wreath topper sounds beautiful, Greenlady. This has given me an inspiration to make a new holiday wreath and work peacock feathers into the design!\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"
