Love vs Friendship
Ok, so I just finished watching an episode of a show were the girl confides that although she likes this male friend of hers, she won't go out with him, because there's no way of knowing if they'll work out - and if they don't, then she loses a lifelong friend of hers. And she'd rather keep the lifelong friend, so she keeps things at that level rather than taking that risk.
If presented with the same option, what would you do? Risk losing the friend for seeing where the love goes? Or stay safely at the friend level?
I've been in situations where I have not been completely oblivious to the subtle hints that someone has dropped on me and then later find out that person was in love with me. And I'm shocked because here I am thinking the whole time person only wanted to be friends with me and nothing more. But then there were other instances where I've totally thought ALL the signs were there but it turned out that I was only looking for the signs.
I find it hard to tell the difference sometimes! No, most of the time actually.crudemood Reviewed by crudemood on . Love vs Friendship
I have been told by girls that wanted to date that they liked me,and everytime it's one of my freinds sisters or cousin.I have turned them down, not because of looks or personality or anything,I just wanted to keep things cool with my freinds family.I wouldnt date a close freinds family member.......it sucks because twice these girls were really cool and we all got along so well,it seemed like a perfect match, but I couldnt do it.I would rather keep them as a freind.

I've never understood that whole thing... why you can't still be friends after a breakup. But sometimes I attribute that to getting too physical when the relationship isn't serious enough to warrant it. I think people actually fall in love more and more when making out/having sex, and it hurts worse when you break up. I say go for it if you like the person that way, but really hold back on the sex until there's an appropriate commitment level. Then if you break up, it's not like you've given your all for that person. You could still see them as a friend without it breaking your heart.

I always seem to be in that situation and I'm still at loss as to what to do.....but instead my fear is if they don't feel the same way about me....and as a result won't treat me the same..

Once you go past the line you cant go back. Even if you try itl eat away at you, all the small things you noticed about her when you once had that level of intimacy will remind you of what you once had, and itl hurt every time you see them. Atleast thats how it was for me.
