Nice thread, FBR. Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
I'm thankful for my family and the fact that I have a new baby nephew and that my husband and son surprised me with the fact that my son was coming home for Thanksgiving after all. Dave told me he was going out to the store earlier, but he really went to DFW airport and picked up our son. That made me incredibly happy.
I'm thankful for all of you guys, my friends here on the boards. I'm thankful for the fact that although I've had a rough rough year healthwise, I've had good care by great doctors. I'm very thankful that I have health insurance. I'm thankful that I made the decision to continue in school instead of dropping out. And I'm thankful for my darling pets.\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone and Giving Thanks
I am thankful that my family is alive and well, my finacee and my daughter, especially after our house was shot into. I am also thankful for the health of my other family members, even though my grandfather had another heart attack last week on his 80th birthday (he had a bypass 14 yrs ago, and has had stents, ect, but there is really nothing further they can do as far as surgery goes) but he was released from the hospital at least, and is doing better....
I am also thankful for the simple things that we sometimes take for granted, shelter, food, transportation...
I am thankful for true friends that can help you overcome any situation.

I'm thankful for everything, except the feeling (of a convict) because of my illegal "procedure".
I'm thankful that I only wrote one sentence for you to read.
I'm thanking those that have read this far.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone and Giving Thanks
I'm thankful that I still have a roof over my head and it's my own roof rather than one belonging to the County. I'm thankful that my mom is speaking to me again. It has been a rough year.
I wish Thanksgiving came in April instead of November, so we could have a proper harvest festival in fall and then give thanks in spring for having been able to survive the winter. Since I bought a house, November is a time of trepidation for me. I watch heating fuel prices and tack up quilts over my windows and cross my fingers hoping that the gas company doesn't come banging on my door until spring. This year I'm especially scared. So ask me in a few months what I'm really thankful for. Sitting in a 58 degree house with $20 in your checking account doesn't lend itself well to good cheer.
But I'm looking forward to a big dinner with my family in a few hours. My mom is making a heap of cornish game hens- they cook faster than a giant turkey- and she can COOK. I'm thankful for that too.

I'm thankful for my health and for the fact that my family is mostly still around (had 2 uncles pass away this year). I'm thankful that I will be with them soon.
I'm thankful I found this site, too. I've learned more in the last couple of weeks than I have in the last year of being on other boards.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
