Here's something I used to do with my friends in San Diego when we got high.

We used to stop at the AM/PM mini-mart and get a couple of big blocks of ice, the kind you put in a camp cooler. If we were already high we would also get Slush Puppies, becasue Slush Puppies are great when you are high (but the Slush Puppy is optional for ice blocking). Then we would take our ice blocks to a park where there was this long steep grassy hill, get really blazed, put a towel on the block, sit on it, and slide down the hill on our asses!

It was so fun!

You get going pretty fast, but the main thing is that you are totally out of control. You have to balance on your ass, so your legs are out in front of you up in the air and you tend to spin around and lose control. You almost always end up going sideways and then crashing, but sometimes you spin all the way around backwards.

It takes a very long steep grassy hill to make it work, and the best one in San Diego was at Presidio Park. Not the main loop. It was one off of Hotel Circle, where you drive up a hill to a small parking lot. That was a great park, regardless of whether you were ice blocking or not. It's been years since I lived down there, but I wonder if people still do that.
