    My Setup

I'm a first time grower and here's my current setup. I'm 6 or 7 weeks in and have a very healthy White Widow plant who'se about a foot tall and has been flowering for a week at 12/12 under a 125 watt dual spectrum flouerescent light which will be changed to a 2700K spectrum light tonight. As of yesterday I'm starting to see my first buds. I'm using a kit supplied by EzHydroKit.com which comes with a rack (cheap PVC piping) which I decided not to use, two rubbermaid containers, a 1 gal and a 5 gal, plastic net basket, and rockwool cubes. I germinated right in the rockwool with no nutrients and after week 1 added the nutes that were supplied with the kit. I later added H2O2 and liquid karma. After 3 more weeks I was ready for 12/12 which is when I added my bloom nutrients that were supplied with the kit, the liquid karma, and H202. Yesterday I added CO2 Boost which I'm hoping will go better. I've pruned the bottom fan leaves (they were half yellow) two times, once at 2 weeks because I overdid it with the nutes and once yesterday just due to the color of the leaves. I know there's lots of opinions on pruning so please no negetive comments about that. The setup is in a closet which is sealed with black plastic sheeting. The larger rubbermaid container is on the bottom and holds 80% of the nutrient solution. The top container holds the other 20% and houses an airstone with a very healthy root sytem floating at the top. I have a small fan circulating air and leave a small opeing in the sheeting most of the day for ciculation and venting then at night I close it up.

One observation is that when I was running 16/8 the night period wasn't as dark because I hadn't installed the sheeting yet. There are also a few LED's on in the closet from the pumps and power supply and what not. The LED's have definately NOT affected flowering. The plant is showing buds already and it's only been force flowered for a week on Friday. This plant has been growing extremely quickly, has an incredibly thick main stem and lots of great healthy leaves.

I am slightly concerned I have a hermie but I'm not experienced enough to be sure that's what has occurred. I might just be mistaking new buds for male sex organs. Either way this isn't that big of a deal, I'll just have seedy pot, right?

Just wanted to introduce myself and boast my setup... been trying to do it for a while but had some trouble getting my account set up. I will post some pics when I have an opportunity.

It's 100% male? I don't understand how that's possible... it's got the white hairs popping out. They were also feminized seeds, which I know hermie a lot... What's the deal?

Maybe it's your photo, or my eyes, but I don't see any hairs anywhere. I may be wrong, but that sure looks like a male to me. I'm sure someone else will come along and either refute or confirm this.

BTW - feminized seeds don't guarantee females, only raise the odds that they will be females.

theres no pistils in view. (the green pointy things are on males and females, they have no purpose of gender)
