You can get the same yields in soil; you might veg just a little longer though. It depends on your skill. You may find that you do very well in soil.
Re-using soil indoors is not recommended. If you have pests, they remain in the soil. If the soil has chemical fertilizer residues, they can wreak havoc with the next crop.
