Can I grow some plants, that are only 6 inches apart? If I can, I should have enough room for 20 girls next year. Will that work, or do they have to be further apart?

Even if you were to grow from a rooted clone, you want to space them out by a foot. From-seed plants should be spaced at about 3-4 feet apart.
If you are growing from seed, space 2 feet apart and thin when you kill the males.

I start in pots in late feb, and when I see hairs, I transplant to ground. Usually about late March. I dont have enough room to put them 2 ft apart. I thought I saw some plots that on this site that had plants a lot closer than that? Am I wrong? I dont want them to be over 4 ft tall or they will be over the fence. Do you need to space them that far apart for smaller plants? 3 to 4 ft tops. Thanks

If you are transplanting out that early, expect MONSTERS. Any plants you saw closer together were either from clone and set out in July, or from seed and STARTED in May at the earliest.
I'd say wait until June or July to set out your plants if you don't want them to finish over 4 feet, LST them, and pick short strains.

i tried that once, it will end up being like a little outdoor sog. i think i started with a little over 20 and ended up with 14. i topped once before flowering and they only got about 2 ft tall. with buds on the top half. i imagine you would get the same yeild with less plants and lst them if they start getting to tall. like 6 of one, half a dozen of the other as they say.

but at the same time ive seen smoked and helped grow a plant that was 1/3 blueberry 1/3 Northern Lights and 1/3 white widow. they started as separate plants then we cloned 1 time waited till the plants had a good root and planted them in a giant bucket, about the size of a tire around they where about 4 inches apart. i forgot to add they where in a greenhouse, so about a half month to a month in we scared the whole side of the plants that was facing eachother by cutting off everything and then a little peice of the stalk and ziptied it about 100 times all the way up. the buds grew into one giant bud the plants became a plant and it became a hermie because of stress but it survived. the seeds grew well and idk what to call the plants we just call it killer cuz the idea was killer.

it may be possible, but kindof stupid. its like grafting, but in th most retarded way thats most likely gonna kill your plants

on topic: if your gonna replant early, 6 inches may be ok, but id suggest closer to a foot. as long as they dont start blocking light from one another, and have enough light in the first place, theyll be ok
