Its been a rough few days
Its amazing how quickly things can go to shit. Its like no matter how good of a person you are, how hard you work, things just never go your way.
Last week while at work I got a call that my husband hurt his self at work. He almost cut his finger off. I freaked out started crying, and freaked out even more when I couldn't find him. He got 5 stitches in his finger and then here comes the best part. He has to take a drug test. The messed up part is, we hadn't smoked in a long time because I'm on fertility drugs and trying to get pregnant. Thought I was pregnant for a while because I was 2 weeks late. But I started my period, got bummed out, and decided that its had been a stressful few weeks, and we hadn't smoked in 2 months, so might as well relax and smoke a little.
Bad timing. 3 days later he gets hurt and has to take a drug test. Today he got fired, knew it was going to happen we were just waiting on it. The feeling you get when you know something bad is going to happen, but all you can do is wait for it and not know when its coming is horrible.
What really pisses me off is that us smoking had nothing to do with him getting hurt. Some guys dropped a piece of stainless steel and on its way down it caught his finger. It wasn't anything on his end that caused this. He worked there for 5 years missed maybe 4 days the whole time and was never late. He always done his job and never went to work high.
Its going to be almost impossible to find a job this time of the year. Its right in the middle of the holiday season and this really puts us in a bind. If he can get unemployment he has to wait 6 weeks because he got fired. Fate can be so cruel.Dro_Princess Reviewed by Dro_Princess on . Real sorry to hear the bad news, Dro. Sorry he got hurt. Sorry he got drug-tested and then fired. I'm glad he's going to recover physically, however. This is a rough time of year for that to happen. Sounds like you're being a loving, supportive wife as usual. Hope things start looking up for you two soon!

Thanks guys. Ive been so stressed out about this, and I know he is. He is beating himself up over this mess. I have been contemplating quitting my job until this happened. I just hate it so much. I work a mandatory 50 hours a week and almost always work over that. They expect you to be married to the place and at first told me no when I said I had to leave because he got hurt. I told them I was married to my husband not them and I was going so I left. Then a few hours later they call and ask if I was going to be coming back to work. I told them no and then all they could say is you really put us in a bind today. Tough shit they will get over it. I don't know how many times Ive had to run that store short staffed.
He also don't want to smoke pot anymore which I can understand completely. Its sad when you can loose your job over something that you do in your personal time, in the privacy of your own home.

I'm sorry
. I remember a few weeks ago you made a thread about how great things were going. But on a better note, this would be the perfect time to go and get a job IMO. Alot of places need extra help for the holidays thats for sure.

No fault. No blame. And with "togetherness" and perserverence you and your husband will pull through and place another brick in the foundation of your infinite love for one another. I wouldn't be surprised that once you guys pull through this stressful season that you'd discover to be with child! Hmmm, who knows?
BLESSINGS
