interesting very interesting
well i smoke marijuana heavily which is kinda a given i suppose, but thats not the point of this thread, the point is that i get a lot of "head rushes" which is just a ghetto term, but ya when i stand up quickly i get a head rush most of the time, well i avrg about 4 or 5 a day, which i think is just a minor side effect of smoking
well what i'm about to say may sounds far out, but o well, i strongly believe that i get way way less head rushes when i'm thinking, for example when i'm in classes or at work, and just thinking a lot i don't get head rushes as often, even after like getting up from a long class.
now this could just be a coincidence, but i wish i could understand this, i know little to no info about neurology so i have no clue what this could be. so i'm wondering if anyone has any clue if this could be possible

When you say "head-rush" do you basically mean light-headedness and/or a dizzy, almost "whitey" feel?
That's mostly likely the cannabis factor as it relates to orthostatic hypotension. You can look that up. It's a pretty common reaction with cannabis (and lots of other meds, too). It's interesting that when you're concentrating, you experience it less!\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

It's called orthostatic hypotension, if you are describing what I think you are describing. Like when you get all faint like you might pass out when you stand up?
Yeah, it's called orthostatic hypotension, and basically it's when the blood drains too quckly from your brain. Standing up more slowly can be helpful. If you've been thinking hard, it's less likely to happen, because your brain has more blood in it during those activities, and therefore, it doesn't drain out to the point that you feel dizzy.
Hope that makes sense. It's very common, and can happen more often if you haven't eaten, if you've just been asleep, etc. You can google it for more information.
