    trying to reveg purple mercy

this is my 3rd attempt at reveging, i've been searching all over the net, with lots of different methods, here's new one i want to try:

International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums - How To Reveg

i've already have had this under a 600w mh for about a week, it also had to sit in the dark for about four days before harvesting. it was budding for 2 months. I'm apprehensive about cutting back the roots but on the link above it seems to work. also my soil has stayed pretty wet the last two weeks. if i put a heating pad under it would it help? thats if i decide not to cut the roots. the only change i've noticed is that the tips of leaves are turning yellow and a few of the bigger fan leaves are dying. i'll post some close up shoots.

I'm trying it on multiple plants, but my main concern is the purple mercy, the other strains is one shitty purple
that i didn't even bother to harvest and a purple rain cross ( i was told it was richy rich, who knows, all i know it got a great fruity smell, and taste great).

I could be wrong, so take this with a grain of salt...but I don't think you're going to be able to re-veg those plants. The flowers look too mature, and the main stem doesn't look like it'll retain much moisture anymore. They look "past their prime", so to speak.

But again, I could be wrong. I guess it could be entirely possible, as I've never tried re-vegging a fully mature plant before.

Regardless, those are some great looking buds!

id agree with cutting it down to about the first node or so and going back to 24/7. make sure you leave 1 or 2 sets of leaves, and its got a fully matured root system to start up much faster with.

also, you can take a full harvest that way, since your only risking a few g of stalk and leaf that youd probly not use anyways

DON'T CUT ANYTHING MORE OFF THAT PLANT IF YOU WANT TO SAVE HER!!!!!
Not leaves, stalk, or roots. Even those popcorn buds have bud-leaves that can photosynthesize.

Make sure the soil isn't soggy, and get it up off the cold floor if it's on one, but the heating pad isn't necessary and could lead to root rot.
Next time you water her, give SuperThrive or ThriveAlive at 2 drops per gallon, just the once.
Put the plant(s) under 24/0 of blue spectrum flourescent light.
    Keep temperatures very very stable.
Water very lightly. Don't give much fertilizer at all, only a weak 'grow' fert AFTER you see new growth starting, and not regularly.
Take clones the MOMENT you have enough plant material to clone; a mother can only live in her pot so long, and flowering really does a number on the soil.

KB I don't understand the last part of your statement, and it's fallin into that pattern I'm seeing lately of posting for the sake of posting... if you're only risking a few g of stalk that you wouldn't use anyway, leave it all on the plant and minimize stress.... Have you personally ever successfully re-vegged a plant? Anyway...

Def just harvest the rest and get on with a new batch...

    Hopefully you made clones?

    Heres my 2 cents.

I took down my plant on 10/19 but left the viable large leaves up as well as several buds. I moved it over into the veg chamber and gave it 24/0 with superthrieve feedings in very lite soil. Here are the pics of it currently, its finally starting to veg again, but its taken a while of letting it sit in the corner and do nothing. Also I have included a pic of what won't be revegging.

This was my 1st try at it, and its working! :rasta:

    ...
and its been like that for at least two weeks, thats one of my main worries ; root rot, i was thinking if i took it out of this two gallon and put her in a bigger pot the dryer surrounding soil would soak up the water and distribute it out better so its not so wet. I'm just afraid of doing anything else to fuck it up. this is my only chance at saving this strain.

is the tips turning yellow mean anything, I'm taking it as a bad sign. but i also remember reading somewhere in here that it means it using up the nute's in the leaves. i don't know to much of the science of reveging, or any signs that tell u it will happen other then that the plant is still alive. seems real easy for some people and not so much for others.

The idea of repotting her into a pot where the surrounding soil is very very light is not a bad one at all. Like, up to 50% perlite!

Wouldn't it be faster and less stressful to prun the roots back also? I used to keep a bonsai mother plant and every few months when it slowed down growth i would with hold nitrogen for a few days, take clones and then cut about a third of the root ball off and give it some fresh soil. Then I'd give it water then normal nutes the next day and it would take off again.
