Someone recommend some music please?

I thought about surrealistic pillow by jeffersons airplane. The problem is I just don't know what album to buy from them, or from Tull, or Lynyrd Skynyrd. You can listen to 30seconds of each track on iTunes, and you can buy single tracks, but the trouble is if you end up buying loads of tracks it eventually becomes cheaper to just buy the whole album, only then I THINK its too late. Anyways I zapped Stand Up the second Tull record, Electric Ladyland by Hendrix was on there for 5 quid and some belle and sebastian tracks. Oh yeah and that one called Atlas by Battles. As for Zeppelin and Aerosmith, well I already own most of their stuff on CD.

Iron Butterfly...........? would that be one?
I mostly listen to reggae and some other stuff.But I thought Iron Butterfly was pretty trippy,the song is like 17 minutes long I think.

yea iron butterfly's ina-gadda-da-vida would be a good one. electric ladyland is a another good one. but i never realy considered zep aerosmith or skynard as psychodelic. another good band wood be velvet underground. also the monkees and the beach boys done some psychodelic stuff. most notably would be head by the monkees and smileysmle by the beach boys. also frank zappa. and the strawberry alarm clock , mc5, litter, sopwith camel , soft machine ,and the 13th floor elevators. all these guys are from the late 60s. but there has been a reoccuance of psychedelic music recently withbands like umphreys mcgee, rusted root, ekoostik hookah (you can down load there music free at ekoostik.com), the recipe, and many others
