Can anyone give me a recipe for a soil mixture so perfect that I will no longer have to fertilize except for very rare occaisons.
For soil grows...the short answer is...NO.
In my experience, they will require a steady supply of nutes. (at least weekly)
I usually use Miracle Grow liquid for veg, Fox Farms bloom ferts for flower. Shouldn't take long to figure out the ratios, but start at half-strength, and increase ratio slowly till you find what your plants require. They will tell you what they need.
Virtually any organic potting mix should do. I do usually add a little extra perlite, and a bit of blood meal or worm castings, early in veg, but will still need ferts, micronutes and molasses throughout the grow.
