    LED for flowering question

Hi, I'm settign up a grow fridge using the freezer for clones/mother and the fridge for flowering. In most of the setups like this I have seen the fridge section has a 250watt HPS AGRO SON. I want to use led panels to keep heat and electricity costs down. I was wondering if I could use completely red panels in the flowerign section or if i need to have a small amount of blue spectrum aswell? Or if I had red panels would I be able to suppliment them with some fluoresent? Thanks for any help in advance

    LED for flowering question

It's best to have an 85/15% ratio in both veg and bloom. More blue will make the plants shorter and bushier, which I would think would be a benefit in a fridge. If you use only LED for flowering, you had better buy about $1500 worth.

    LED for flowering question

    Hi Blair,

I have been looking into this as well and so far what I have found out is yes you need some blue with the red. Now if you use fluos what I see recomended is to go by watts.
So if you use 90 watts of red LED you want 45 watts of fluoresent lighting.

I am still looking for some actual grows. thats how I found this thread.

Yes, you have to have blue to prevent stretching.

cruzer, My partner and I have started an all led grow featuring 3 procyons. It's called "LED grow". Just remembered I need to put that in the sig. Still very early but check it out.
