Dark room helps thc

hi all just wonder i heard a story, just checking out if's it true and anyone has tryed it.

"When you are ready to harvest dont take out from under light and put in a dark place for 2 days"

this is surrpose to pump thc into the plant as its trying to live its last day......true or false?

is there any other things sum one could do to get the most from there buddy beauty right at the last moments before harvest?

add sugar or molasses to your water when watering the last few times...

In this grow faq i read it said to leave them in total darkness for the last week or two! Once you've determined when you are gonna harvest give it an extra week of darkness and it should pack on a little more thc. This is only what ive read but have never tried!

^Sorta true, but putting your plant in darkness for the last week "wont kill your plants", it's a marijuana faq that darkness is healthy for the last days of harvest..WHY? It's a mind trick, so to the plant it thinks it wont survive so it does everything to keep it self alive without light.... :jointsmile:

great replies, still dont think there is a defo yes in them but hey thanks for replys and the sugar in the water tip, you say give them how much sugar in the water for 2 week of flushing i geuss?

1 tablespoon per gallon and Yes darkness does help thc, darkness creates the crystals you see on your buds...

It seems to be the general consensus that molasses works better than sugar. There are a whole bunch of molasses threads in the Grow Section. Do some research before you decide which to add to your plants.

Two weeks of flushing is excessive - one week will suffice.

well I am gunna deff try this on my DWC grow when its ready to harvest in december.
but I am only gunna keep them in darkness for like 5 days at most.

and I'll be checking her while this is going on. with a green light I have. to make sure that she ain't dieing.

well I hope it works out good with who ever trys this.
