Yeah if you turn it up all the way you'll burn it, but i prefer to keep it at a lower temp. I usually save it after I vap it even though its pretty much all used up. Sometimes when you're really desperate you can load it in a bong and smoke it. It's really really dry and it's not very effective but you can get a small high from it when you're totally out. Alternatively I also use it to cook with (in addition to fresh bud).
