Cell Phones: Obviously MUCH More Dangerous than Previously Thought
FWIW, the *ONLY* reason I have a cell phone is because of my business. I am an HVAC Contractor. When I am not at the house or in the shop, I have the biz phone forwarded to the cell, so when a customer calls, they get a live, warm, breathing body instead of a machine or an answering service. They get the man that is going to cure their problem and make them comfortable again.

Since i dont need a cell phone according to you. What would i do when im driving seomwhere and my car breaks down or i get a flat without a spare or my spare is flat. Why not have a cell phone. I personally dont have a house phone just a cell phone. House phones dont make sense cell phones do. Why have a phone somewhere where i am rarely it doesnt make sense your argument sucks steve. If you can prove to me my cell phone is hazordous to my health then i will agree with you but thats a different story.

Is your cell phone required for your *legitmate* service business?? Is your livelyhood dependant on a cell phone?? or is it required for the protection or, or immediate safety of life, limb, and or property??

Unless a phone is required for your living or the safety of others, then its only a convienience and a toy.
Your not having a house phone doesn't fly either... thats your own personal choice.
Cell phones being hazardous to your health?? yup... every time you have your cell phone to your ear or are sending text messages while driving.....absolutely hazardous to your health and the others on the road around you.
Think I am kidding?? go talk to the folks at your local police department, sheriffs department, or state troopers office and ask them...they can give you hard facts and figures about how many accidents are caused by idiots on cell phones or texting while they are driving.[SIZE=\"6\"]READ MY LIPS!!!

Mississippi Steve thats probably one of the stupidest things I ever heard. Of course cell phones aren't necessary to survive, almost nothing we use today is absolutely necessary to survive. It does make life a hell of a lot easier though. And saying cell phones are hazardous to your health is retarded. Of course texting and calling people while your driving is dangerous. So? Then don't use it while driving this isn't rocket science. Also I think it's pretty funny how you have a personal vendetta against cell phones.

i have never owned a cell nor do i plan on buying one
I want to share something with you: The three little sentences that will get you through life. Number 1: Cover for me. Number 2: Oh, good idea, Boss! Number 3: It was like that when I got here.I\'m not a bad guy! I work hard, and I love my kids. So why should I spend half my Sunday hearing about how I\'m going to Hell? But Marge, what if we chose the wrong religion? Each week we just make God madder and madder

Thats funny because around here its an oddity anymore to see a cop in a car thats not on a cellphone I've see it personally on the way to work and it pisses me off. who are they talking to on my (taxpayers) time. I want to know. Kinda hard to protect and serve when you're looking at your dashboard.

Here in Washington, its a fine if you using your cell phone while driving. Unless it is hands free.

definitely survival of the fittest... while sadly his weakness may of really just been momentarily (most likely not, but a moderate thought is better than radical)
that being said... cell phones are pretty useful... mass communications is an integral part of globalism and advancement... I know of several kids with an emergency phone, and that is cool by me... i understand the parental thinking...
of course there are extremes, that we all know of... but we also, all know that humans are innately flawed. I'm sure we have all left a zipper down or lost the keys. The problem is when you teach leaving it down.
