Lucky for me I didn't grow up where abuse was prevalent. Abuse did happen, but to what degree? Reading the website and checking the population, One draws the conclusion that 1 out of every 49 Families are abusive each year. Thats a far cry from reality. I knew hundreds of family's through-out mass, and only 1 or 2 cases of actual abuse.
I can say I have stood by and witnessed families struggle to keep the kids that they truly hold #1. All over false abuse claims.
The part I have the biggest issue with is the fact that once they have you in there sights, They can bury you and your supposed parental rights. I've personally witnessed good friends lose children because they did not know there fighting rights. They spent years without there children, fighting to get them back. 5-10yrs, Thats what your looking at without your child if they get your kid. Even if in the end the DSS case is closed, You and your child have already suffered gravely.
Seeing this happen to good people is what drives my passion against DSS's tyranny. They are above cops and most courts, DSS has the clear power to become out of control and corrupt. What sucks is that, with so many abuse cases televised, the American public is too scared to limit there power.
Just research this... If DSS is investigating you on a false claim, Who do you report this injustice to?? You'll find that there is no parent to DSS except supreme court(imagine going to supreme court just to argue that you love your kids). You'll also find that they are immune to lawsuits. Immunity means that even if the DSS worker is totally insane or has personal motives, You won't get any justice for there injustice.
