Need help from experienced smokers
Hey everyone - first post on this site... I want to apologize in advance for how long winded this will probably end up being, but you guys are probably the best ones to help me out.
a quick timeline to fill you in:
8 years ago, age 17: I try weed for the first time.. don't feel anything. I don't end up touching it for a bit because I think its a waste of money as I didn't get a noticeable effect.
6 years ago, age 19: I smoke basically every weekend because my friends always had some and I wasn't paying for it. after a few times I feel the effects of being relaxed, and I am digging it
4 years ago, age 21: I basically fall out of the game and don't really smoke anymore. maybe 4 or 5 times a year at the most.
july of this year: I decide to pick up an eighth. my buddy hooks me up with a dealer who sells top end stuff. I enjoy this much more than I have ever enjoyed a high, and thus get an appreciation for the top shelf stuff.
I noticed that the more I smoked in one sitting, the better I felt. I smoked 3 or 4 huge bowls one night, and felt great. just really really giggly. I decided that unlike alcohol, there is no such thing as too much weed.
The next night, I decided to smoke 5 or 6 huge bowls, and then quickly learned that there definitely is such a thing as smoking too much, as I fell on the floor when I tried to get up from the couch, I felt a little nausea kick in, and was forced to lay on the couch and watch some tv... this wasn't a terrible experience, still pretty chill, but just a little more intense.
august-september 07: total dry spell... nobody had anything in my area.
october: I asked around and my buddy said he knew someone who could hook me up. I told him that I only want the top of the top of the line shit. $120 later I had me a 1/4 of kush, which I hadn't heard of at the time.
the first few times it was awesome, definitely felt different from the other stuff a few months back.
last tuesday: my buddy brings over a bong and we pack it with ice and load up two average sized bowls and smoke while watching TV. This is only my second time smoking a bong. About 20 minutes after that, I start to lose it.
I have pins and needles throughout my body. I feel like I can't sit still, I have to go do something. I get up and take a piss. try to sit back down. my body was not letting me sit still. I get up and walk around for a minute, then sit back down and try to relax myself. as soon as I sit down I get back up, grab a drink of water, sit back down. I am creeped out that my friend is here. I completely forget why he is here. I take a small sip of water and as soon as i swallow it I begin to feel extremely nauseous. I know that leaving my friend in the living room is a bad idea, but I know that I am fucked up and go lay down in bed.
When I get under the covers I am still wide awake, my body wants to get up and do something but I am forcing it to stay down. All the sudden my whole body begins to shake and convulse because I am freezing. I can feel my heart beating at an extremely fast rate, and I briefly consider calling 911 until I reminded myself of that one cop that called 911 after he confiscated then ate pot brownies, and said he was overdosing. he was a laughing stock as we all know you can't OD on MJ.
after all that, I throw on some old episodes of the simpsons to keep my mind occupied. once it comes on, I can't understand the words being spoken. I close my eyes and see strange patterns repeating themselves over and over. I also begin hearing a repeating echo that I know isn't there.
at this point, I start to think that I'm having a heart attack as my left side is completely numb but my right side is fine.
eventually, I fall asleep.
The next day, I could feel the effects all day (which sucked because I had work), and it felt like I was high (but bad high) until I woke up on thursday morning... when I woke up feeling 100%.
I told this to a few of my friends, and they all said to me that I am giving weed "magical powers that it doesn't have," and that "its all in your head."
regardless of what they said, I know what I experienced. However... I missed the days of a few months back when I smoked and chilled.
so friday night I decide to smoke an EXTREMELY small bowl just to get my feet wet. maybe it was all in my head. about 15 minutes after smoking, I started to feel the same things as tuesday, but on a much lesser scale of course.
woke up saturday and was pissed that i got the same high, and wanted to try it again... this was really pissing me off I couldn't get the same relaxing high. smoked again a very small amount.. maybe a 3 hit bowl, and again the same shit happened to me as tuesday (again with a lesser effect).
From sunday when I woke up until now I have had the pins and needles on the left side of my body, and can readily feel my heart beat (its a normal beat, but I am very aware of it and can feel it).
Has anyone ever experienced anything like I have been through? is that (relatively) normal for smoking too much? was it the bong? is it possible for effects to linger this long? is there any link between MJ and any heart irregularities? I couldn't find any.
Thanks a lot for your help everyone, I know its a little long but hopefully you can help me out... I miss smoking and just laughing my ass off and chilling watching the aqua teen DVDs.

Try getting some different weed, i dont know what to tell you. I guess its possible that its laced, ive heard that pcp can give very long lasting effects but i dont really know anything about it and its pretty illogical for a dealer to sell you laced weed at a regular price

Yeah, it seems like a lot of it could be in your mind, but most of all it sounds like you just got wicked high on some bomb weed. Take it easy next time, and smoke to chill not to get fucked up. Also I know it doesn't sound right when I say it could be in your mind, but trust me - the mind is a VERY powerful thing and has the ability to actually make you feel physical pain without anything actually being wrong. The key thing is to try to relax, drink water, and ride it out. :]
Peace

Well... there is two kinds of weed, indica and sativa. The indica is that one which gives you that mellow, relaxing, couchlocked stone. And the sativa is that one which gives you the gigly, energetic, spacing out high. Most of common weed is a mix of this two kinds, so the effects are a bit of each one.
But high-quality weed may be a "pure" strain, only indica or only sativa... from what youve described, im almost sure that your last highs were from a pure sativa, so the restlessness, the "pins and needles", the heart racing and so...
Also, as you spent some time without smoking, your tolerance was almost null, so you felt the effects much more strongly... The first time i smoked, i felt some effects for some 2-3 days after smoking it... its pretty common when your tolerance is too low.
Im almost sure that your feeling of your heart beat and the "pins and needles" are due the increase of the sensitivity caused by weed... the sativa strains can make all your senses FAR more sensitive, so its possible to see, hear, taste, smell and feel (by touching) things that you wouldnt if you were sober.
So... there is nothing to worry about. In fact, my advice would be to enjoy while your tolerance is so low, cause after some time smoking you LONG for a high like yours... Also, if you want to relax, try to get some indica... or then make some drink/food with this weed you have.
And keep toking! :thumbsup::stoned::rastasmoke:
EDIT : The weed was NOT laced... its the first thing people thinks when hears about effects like yours, but laced weed is a very rare thing... Fuckin damn good weed is FAR more common than laced weed...

def. just smoked way too much good sativa for your tolerance. I would be happy if I were you to have a trip like that off of a weed high. But then again you were probably not used to this so I see why you were a bit freaked. My advice is to smoke a little bit less in a really comfortable surrounding with some cool friends. See what happens.

It was quite an anxious high like yours, too.
Good herb should not give you a bad high. That's all I have to say.

I think the first bad trip was a something to the sort of a panic attack, and the other ones afterwards were probably a result of you worrying that you might get the same high again.
The placebo effect is amazingly powerful when you're high. Sounds also like whatever you smoked could just be a strain with considerable amounts of paranoia.

I think that what you are experiencing in a way is a self-fulfilling prophecy. You are very nervous because of the terrible night you had and you that leads you to being nervous when you smoke. You are concerned with getting too high and experiencing those effects, so once you start smoking you concentrate solely on your experience and you end up causing yourself to have them again. Realize that these kinds of feelings can happen to everybody but its a once in a while thing. Kick back, relax, and enjoy the weed.

Here's whats going on. The amount of times you have smoked, means that your tolerance is still in its first stages. You say you got kush, and smoked out of a bong. With your tolerance, a bong, some huge hits, and some dank kush, it's not uncommon at all that something crazy happen like what happened to you.
Next time you get dank nug, don't smoke so much until you are ready to smoke that much. And you should have some pretty good experiences from here on out.

Usually most people that say "kush" are reffering to good weed unfortnuatly like you said mfqr i hate it too when ppl say kush reffering to it but sadly its the way most people are, and usually even if they arnt trying to mean it in that way its still not a legit kush strain. You know how dealers are lol.
