    High Speed Maturation-what will happen?

Hi guys, so I'm on my 2nd grow with my hydro/ 150watt HPS gunsafe system. The plant was from a bag of seedy but decent weed. I also ended up with one strong female of some unknown species, I'm thinking she's some kind of indica or indica hybrid. Her leaves are short, fat, and rounded on the edges, and the tops are already looking like they're gonna be the primary buddage for the plant.
So, here's my unusual set of questions for all the tough old veterans of the cannabis world.
-Has anybody ever tried sending a plant right into 8 hours of flowering daylight after 2 weeks of 12/12? This will be separate from my main grow, with about 75 Watts of red and blue spectrum fluorescent focused on one 1.5 ft tall plant.
-The idea is that many growers use this in the last couple of weeks to speed things up once the buds have formed, usually everything 'crystallizes' in this time. Since there aren't much more than pistils formed as I'm starting the 8/16 lighting, I'm assuming that the pistils will swell up and hopefully the plant will try to crystallize with thc.
-Also, would you guys mind looking at the photos of my ladies and try to tell me if they look sativa, indica, or like some kind of hybrid.(The little one is called Muhammad, the big one is named Budsy)
-don't worry about the strain, that's nigh impossible to tell from a picture.
    -lastly, thanks!

Your plants will mature more quickly and yield less. Tradeoff.

so do you think it'll actually form buds? I'm just asking because the plant in question is a clone of the big plant pictured, which quit bud growth and went heavily into the trichome coating once I cut down to 8 hours of light. Now since the clone under 8 hours doesn't have any buds formed yet, I'm just kind of curious how it's going to spend it's energy, trying to form buds or trying to coat what little pistils it has in trichomes. ps I'll add pictures of the 8 hour bloomer set up once we're in a light cycle.

Well the plant got too stressed from the change, died while I was away, and was subsequently smoked. An update on the little indica plant pictured, it's already putting off mature buds while my big plant is still several weeks out. Expect pictures soon(once engineering school finals are over)
