DIY LIGHT TIGHT AIR VENT
it was cheap and easy to make got the idea from someone around here, but slept since then. another great thing about them is they take up way less room than the ones with the pvc piping
all you need is a razor, some good glue(i used a modeling glue), flat spray paint for the imperfections, and some elmers black foam board. all items can be gotten at local wal mart near the arts and crafts and school section for afew bucks apiece(mine cost about $10).
mine measures a total of12.5"L x 4"W x 16.5"H
the total air opening is 4" x 12"
all you need is afew hrs depending on glue setting time
and lots of good buds to get you goin right

That is brilliant!
However i think ill be a lazy bum and stick with the 90 degree flu elbow i have sitting on top of the 8inch fan. Since its behind a giant ass tv with a shelf built over the tv its pretty light proof.
Not to copy PC but rep for you mang!

Tex that came out excellent.
I REALLY want to get a DIY sub-forum going where we can have those sorts of tutorials. Yours is a great example.

i got the airvent hooked up and it seems to be working good and no light leaks at all. i have it glued to cab and taped with black tape at all edges on the outside and taped with white tape at all edges on the inside
