Anyone ever experience something like this?

    Hey guys,

First post here. IMO cannabis is an amazing plant and my experiences seem to vary A LOT depending on who is around me and the setting. When I smoke around people I tend to get very talkative and ideas flow more freely. There is a certain threshold though, because if I smoke too much I will eventually get to the point where the nature of language becomes much more evident and I can hardly think/speak.

Anyways, when I smoke alone I feel like I can freely explore my mind without interruption and it is much more productive and enlightening. Being able to search and experience your mind, thoughts and perceptions in an altered state you can learn a lot about yourself.

So, despite the social benefits I can achieve when I'm around other people, I really like to smoke alone.

I have been somewhat documenting the effects Cannabis has on me and I'm curious if others experience similar things.

For example, here is one thing I wrote while listening to music.

"When I close my eyes and and concentrate on listening to music, staring into closed eye visuals subtly and without effort, the only sense I can really perceive is hearing, I go out of my body (to the point where I can't feel as if i have a body), and I feel like I'm in deep space where I'm not a body but an energy field/not "attached" to anything and the music is playing into the infinite space all around me"

There are, of course, a lot more.. but for now I am mostly interested in this one. Can anyone relate (to the variation between setting and the music experience)?

Thanks! Looking forward to reading and posting more in the future.

Those who are REALLY into music, get this without being stoned, like me.

Yes, I have the same thing.

The first couple of times I smoked I would type pages and pages on my laptop, cuz everything just kept flowing.

I have realized a lot of connection while high, which changed my world perspective and how I see things today. Smoking makes me grow as a person IMO.

Music is AMAZING high. I get so immersed into it, and thoughts just keep flowing. It is like, every minute I'm high I make a realization and a connection that would take me an hour of thinking sober.

HOly shit man, I totally agree. Ever since I started smoking I feel like I've matured and changed for the better.

Do most people who smoke think like this? I don't think so. In my opinion most recreational users (which out number everyone else who smokes in America), smoke cannabis just for fun with out any second thought.
If you tell them you do it for spiritual reasons or feel connected and change your entire world perspective, they think you're crazy.

What is the difference between them and us?

The difference is ignorance. People who smoke to get fucked up never truly appreciate the effects of cannabis. If you don't educate yourself on the plant and the effects then you don't get much more out of it than anyone else. Most spiritual users typically know a lot about marijuana.

I couldnt had put it in better words! I agree completly!
To the OP, im a "spiritual" smoker as well... in fact, hardly (almost never) i smoke with anyone... i prefer being alone and enjoying all the wisdom and enlightenment weed can give me... and i also think weed is not only for fun (as most people thinks), but for growth and learning... when i started to smoke, i used to write a lot about the effects i felt, much like you... i have several pages of it... and i think i felt this thing about music some times... mainly hearing pink floyd, which is VERY trippy...
Concerning your description of how you felt when hearing music... have you heard about out-of-body-experiences (sometimes called astral projection)? Maybe you were at brink of achieving one, what is not very uncommon during heavy highs (mainly the indica couchlock ones).

That's a really good way to put that. I get to that point when I'm really high. I learned to enjoy it, though it was scary at first.
