I just had 2 call the police when 3 bullets entered my home. Didn't want to, but I didn't have any guns to shoot back with, so I feel I had no other option. Also needed documentation for realty company that I did not cause damage. I think this is the only time I have ever called the police, I can't remember if I did when my mother caught the kitchen on fire and I was a child or not.

Oh, and twice when people hit me in auto accidents.

Ive never called the cops. The ambulance, maybe, for my mom, once when I was 4 or 5 and she sliced her foot open when the top of a glass table dropped on the concrete.

But Ive always put an immediate stop to any problem me or a friend of mine might have on my own. Why waste time on the cops when I am waayyyy more efficient?

There are times when folk should be glad that the cops exist and should be a bit more aware of what it takes to be a good cop.
I have done some very illegal things in my time and I've had a very eventful life , I have spent time in the lap of luxury and I've spent time in prison.
I would've been considered a career criminal at certain points in the past but I still don't hate the police.
They do a job that most people couldn't do , how many of the "I hate the popo" brigade could face dealing with the true lowlifes of society, or telling relatives "I'm sorry to have to tell you , you're son/daughter has been murdered ?
There are good cops and bad cops and just like in the rest of society the public wants scandal so the media gives them it.

whew! it seems like everyone has a comment on this topic haha. I don't like to call the fuzz unless except when there is an actual crime, e.g. an incident in which someone is threatening someone else's property or person. Mostly it's out of respect to others and an implicit hope that they won't call the fuzz because my window is illuminated by an intense, eery pinkish orange light or when I'm smoking a bong on the front porch.

Also, if I reported a crime and the cop came to get info from me about it, I wouldn't want him picking up the subtle aroma of green growing cannabis. That almost happened once after my wife witnessed a lesbian fight (she didn't report it, just talked when the cops got there). The cop was walking into the room and I scooped up by bong and jar of weed and went into another room (the room with my grow). close one

The last time I called the popo was about 3 months ago.. there was this bum who hung outside my gate in front of my house.. we have a tall black wrought iron fence that is locked at all times, but when we came out before dawn, or when i came home late at night, this dude was asleep with beer cans scattered around him. I told him to move on about 6 times, sicked my dogs on him, my landlord actually threw water on him, and he just didnt seem to think we were serious. so one day, i was leaving for work, and he was hanging off my mailbox in broad daylight holding a beer swaying he was so drunk. I called the non emergency number, took em bout 20 min, took him away.. the funniest part is that i was blowed, and one of the officers was hawt!
