i got a good argument for ya.

if your vaccines work so wonderfully/godly like then why are you scared of a healthy baby passing a disease on to your kid that had the vaccine. if the vaccine works so good you shouldnt be scared of a sick baby or a healthy one.
oh but wait you can still catch the disease, and when you inject the kid you give them the disease and then some. so they can catch it more than 1 time

im not goin to vaccinate my kid against diseases that have been already eradicated for the most part

Go to jail because you don't agree with the government's mandate on how to manage one's health? Sure, why not! Big brother knows best, who are we to tell them how to care for our own kids? Or maybe... we're setting a dangerous precedent now?


The government and it's organizations have a looooonnng list of products that they assured us were safe; only to find out later "oops! turns out this causes cancer/autism/suicidal thoughts" ect. Do you all honestly have such faith that when government assures us something is safe, it'll always turn out to be as such? These are the same guys that are still convinced oxycontin and morphine are a safer and better drug for chronic pain patients than cannabis.


Psysicians and scientists are starting to hotly debate this; just check out some of Dr. Mercola's stuff. They've told us for years that vaccinations are 100% safe; now the CDC and doctors/scientists all over have admitted that 2% of the population have a mitochondrial disorder that does indeed trigger autism and other mental health problems when given certain basic vaccines. Or is the philosophy, "oh well that's just 2%, no biggie!". 300 million Americans, 2% with this mitochondrial disorder; that means if you all take the mandatory vaccines for fear of going to jail, that 6 million people will be in dire risk of developing severe cognitive defects. Before this recent discovery, however, nobody knew how vaccines could cause any health problems; so it's all safe I tell's ya!


Science is constantly evolving, new information always turning up to surprise us. To imprison honest citizens for not having faith in the current understanding's of medical science is just insane; especially when the government has an obvious record of bullshittng it's citizens our what is and isn't good for us.

Until you have or see the results in your own child of vaccine problems, I doubt you can undestand. I for one, have all mine and get them when I need them. I know I won't get out of this world alive, in the end! But, I'd like to have a brain whle I am here and not have people fear me.

My friend's son is now 20; He got his vaccine's and drove she and her husband crazy. Asberger's (a form of autism)! He likes to toss knives at them among other things. They call him their birth control. The guilt and how my friend weeps at having made the decision to 'poison' her own son. Now, he is very violent, has been kicked out of so many schools, even Military Acad. Jr. Hi! He has been and still is a full time job for both of them. Her husband would come home from work, sometimes 5 times a day, to keep the son from killing her! IT IS SICK AND SAD.

At first, I use to laugh at the 'birth control' thing. After 15 years of what he has and most likely will do to them, I fear the call of my friend being found dead or anyone that disagrees with this vaccinated guy!


The young, elderly and sick have little immune systems. However, there are tests that can be taken, titer's; to find out your level of immunity!

Most people on this site have a lot of the disease's like mentioned, would you have taken the vaccine?

When you are getting Chemo, for example, you can get anything! We told sick people and children getting vaccines not to come to the house, they did anyway! Then when I took my chemo mom to the ER, I was told: We'll know in 2 hours if she'll live or die! Depends on the exposure to germs and disease! As with anything else, the fact that the lack of vacination could kill someone you love is more motivation to vaccinate than I can find. But, I have seen both sides first hand in my personal life!

I would get my vaccine to see a sickly person that I loved! Even if I had to wait a few months to visit! I would take the risk to be with a loved one! I am also old enough to make my own choices!

I think the issue here, for me, lies in "Gov't control!" We as a nation and world, need to do more to educate and relax with freedom to choose and pray we made the right decision.

We have such a terrible time developing our own immunities to things because of all the sterilizing chemicals we use on things, plus the man-made vaccines.... oh, and antibiotics.

Not to mention, when I was young I definitely remember getting some of my shots... those HUGE guaged needles that they jab into your small arm really hard... traumatizing... nothing like the tiny guaged needles they got now that you can't even feel go into you.

Wouldn't be surprised if any of the shots fuck around with our chromosomes a bit.

Vaccines haven't done anything but help our natural immunities, Green Destiny. That's precisely how they work--inoculating people with attenuated or dead versions of viruses and, in a few cases like the pneumonia and meningitis vaccines, bacteria--to cause the immune system to step up to the plate in a way that protects folks from the full-blown version of the disease. They work by quite literally boosting our immunities.

Natural selection is one thing, but epidemic disease prevention is quite another. I wouldn't hesitate to vaccinate a child and want to encourage people who believe they shouldn't to talk seriously with their physicians or nurse-practitioners or to visit third world countries and have a look at those diseases in action. Heck, come see me in Dallas and I'll take you with me to Parkland for a day and show you our immigrant population lining the walls of the emergency room with unvaccinated babies and children who're desperately ill from whooping cough (pertussis). You'll change your mind real quickly. I'm with Reb on this. I wouldn't want my kid exposed to children who hadn't been vaccinated.

Kids need to be vaccinated. Teenage girls need the cervical cancer vaccine. College-aged students need the meningiococcal vaccine. Adults need regular boosters of their childhood vaccines. Nearly everyone needs flu shots, although some years they're more effective than others. Adults past 50 and others, like me because I have heart rhythm trouble and asthma even though I'm not 50 yet, need the pneumonia vaccine. At-risk populations need the hepatitis A vaccine. One of these days we'll have an AIDS vaccine and even more cancer vaccines. When that happens, I'll be the first in line for those, too.

There are extremes to every belief. Personally I think people should have the choice of immunization, unless it was a CDC emergency or Viral warfare was being used on US soil and everyone NEEDED it for there personal Survival and was an extreme risk to the general population. I still believe people should have the right to choose. Personally I would get the shots.

One of these days we'll have an AIDS vaccine and even more cancer vaccines. When that happens, I'll be the first in line for those, too.

It's too bad a lot of people here would RATHER have AIDS than have a chance to fight it, provided they do come up with a vaccine.

I mean, who KNOWS what could go in that vaccine, but whatever it is it's DEFINITELY worse than what it's curing.

Oi.....some people surprise me. The pro's for vaccines are soooooooooooooo much higher than the cons. Like.....survival. That's usually my favorite.

Also, someone mentioned that vaccines aren't even supposed to be in the body. Yeah.....neither is marijuana, or any kind of smoke for that matter. To be honest, vaccines have done far more for human health and survival than weed ever has (or ever will.) I full endorse medical marijuana, because it has numerous beneficial effects, but it's not gonna keep you from getting sick or cure you when you do. Sorry, but keep you're dying, sickly children from my (possible) future ones.

HOWEVER. The fact that you don't have a choice is just damn ridiculous. If people wanna kill their children, it's their business and their fault, but they shouldnt have to go to prison.

I'm all for choice, myself. Parents deserve the right to choose, and there are children in vulnerable medical populations who have legitimate reasons not to be vaccinated. I just want adults to make fully informed choices on the vaccination question. As one of the earlier posters said, it's hard to fear a disease you've never seen and base a decision to vaccinate on that, but it's absolutely accurate that vaccines save millions of lives. They do. If I had a little kid, I wouldn't want him around unvaccinated kids, that's for sure.

Birdgirl, I have not read the reserch on MRSA/VRSA--interesting. Enjoy the medical view point made with such well articulated facts! Take you antibiotics for a few days, quit and get a worse disease!

This is a very good reason to listen to your Dr. instructions and do what they tell you. I don't mean, everything, make intelligent choices. You have the right to refuse tests you don't need, if you feel it is being done for your pocket money or the test may have long term harm with repeated use of testing device. Use your head. I have known many that do not take their full presciptions or won't give them to the child for the entire routine, because the spoiled little brat put up a fit. (don't spoil them so much).

Fact is, the adult is responsible for the choice and it isn't fair to expose other people to a preventable disease.

I've been vaccinated for hepatitis since it has been around. I fear it, maybe more than aids. Which is another one I'd get along with just about every one that has come down the pipeline! Especially, CANCER.

Just because you are healthy today, is all the more reason to get your shots! No one is sure of tomorrow. Tomorrow, you could get in an accident and be in the hospital for a long time. You risk exposure to the disease's you could have prevented when you were healthy.

Yeah I won't argue with the fact that vaccines have saved millions of people's lives.

I know it's supposed to boost the immune system, but it's doing it in a way that's not very natural. I still think we should be allowed the choice to develop natural immunities without having to take some potentially harmful chemicals even if the pro's outweigh the con's.

And I guess I'm one of the unfortunate bastards that should have been filtered out of the gene pool by diseases. Immune system has been total shit most my life. Even sticking to the full schedule of antibiotics made me feel worse in the end. And doctors still gave me more after the regular round was finished. What did I get from it all? Crohn's. Too bad I have no case for a lawsuit.

Now that I refuse to take any unnatural medicines I'm able to heal from illnesses usually within a couple days, instead of weeks or months.
