    Questions about Dilution Method

    1. What does the aspirin do, exactly?

    2. What about exercise? Since the metabolites are stored in fat, should I abstain from exercising? Exercise two days before, but not the day of? Any advice on that?

    3. What about fat intake? Does this affect excretion?

    Questions about Dilution Method

Yeah Monkey, here's where I would say something about do an advanced search by posts from me using the term EMIT but I'll give you some professional courtesy on this one. Lab tested samples go through immunoassay first then all non negative samples get confirmed using GC/MS. There are several different brands of immunoassay on the market and EMIT is one specific brand/method marketed by the Syva company. For some reason, if your levels are close to the cutoff but slightly above it and they are using EMIT imunnoassay the aspirin can interfere with the test in your favor. I don't know how much over the limit the levels can be for it to help and this information is a few years old so I don't know if the EMIT test has been redesigned but it can't hurt to take the aspirin until we find out otherwise. Instant tests use immunoassay technology but I don't know if they are using EMIT technology. There are also many brands of instant tests.

The exercise rule is about 2-5 days, depending on the person, smoking history, exercise routines, diet, etc. Use some good judgement here and better safe than sorry.

The fat intake rule is similar. The less fat you intake, the more body fat your body may have to use thus releasing stored metabolites. 2 to 3 days is good one this one.

No, I don't think there are any scientific studies on this only theories and claims from people who were failing their homes tests, given the advice on exercise and diet and made the changes and then passed the next day.
